Tamara writes: This artwork is a hommage to my home town Rotterdam. The building on the mountain is the White House or the Westermeijer as everyone calls it. It’s one of the most iconic buildings of Rotterdam and one of few architectural beauties that survived the second world war.

The real Westermeijer building is located only 1m above sea level, which is high for Rotterdam standards. So I put the building on top of a mountain to protect it from the rising sea levels.

I now have a big Westermeijer print in her living room that reminds me of Rotterdam and of my family every timeI look at it.
