Tamara writes: The inspiration for this Mister Rabbit design started as a wordplay on the name of a friend of the artist. If you add “me” in front of the name and change both lettres “m” into the lettres “n” ,it sounds like “Mister Rabbit” in Dutch. So this design was originally made as a pun for my friend Mirko Meyn. (Memeer Komijn > Meneer Konijn) It might look like completely different spelling for non-Dutch speakers, but the pronunciation is actually the same.
